Your spot at the SW Adventure Camp is locked in, your flight is booked, and the buzz for those wild days in Floripa is already kicking in. But then the classic question hits: what do I actually pack? Packing for a trip with such a mix of activities — hiking, yoga, Hawaiian outrigger canoeing and parties — can feel like a puzzle, but we’ve got your back.
Here at Sea Wolf, we live and breathe the lifestyle of Floripa, the Magic Island, and we put together the ultimate packing checklist, built specifically around the program of our Adventure Camp. The goal is simple: help you build a smart, light and stylish bag so you can enjoy every moment with total freedom. No more dead weight and “outfits” that never leave your backpack!
The smart-packing mindset: a backpack is freedom!
Before the list, a golden tip: for the hostel vibe and the ease of travel, swap the wheeled suitcase for a solid backpack. It’s easier to stash in the lockers, more comfortable to move around with, and it instantly puts you in adventure mode. The rule is clear: less is more. Pick versatile pieces you can wear for all kinds of occasions.

What to pack for the Adventure Camp: a checklist by activity
We’ve split the list into blocks that follow our schedule exactly. That way, you’ll always have the right gear for every moment of your getaway.
For the hike:
Comfort and safety are the keywords here. You’ll be covering a lot of uneven terrain, so get ready to sweat and get a little dirty in the name of a jaw-dropping view.
- ☑ Comfortable sneakers: The most important item! Go for hiking shoes or running shoes with solid grip.
- ☑ Leggings or lightweight pants: Protection against scratches and insect bites.
- ☑ Lightweight T-shirt: Quick-drying and breathable.
- ☑ Cap or hat: To shield you from the strong sun on the trail.
- ☑ Small daypack: To carry water, a snack, sunscreen and your phone.
For yoga and Hawaiian outrigger canoeing:
Here, freedom of movement and time in the water call the shots. These are activities for body and soul.
- ☑ Sports top and shorts/leggings: Flexible clothing for flowing through yoga.
- ☑ Swimwear (bikini, one-piece, trunks): A must! You’ll wear it on the canoe and for a post-hike dip alike. Bring at least two options.
- ☑ Quick-dry (microfiber) towel or sarong: Takes up little space and dries way faster than a regular towel.
For the hangouts and happy hours:
After a day of adventure, it’s time to unwind and connect. The vibe in Floripa and at the Lobitos Bar is laid-back, so comfort stays king.
- ☑ Shorts or skirts: Go-to pieces for day and night.
- ☑ A light dress or romper: Practical and stylish options.
- ☑ Basic T-shirts and tank tops.
- ☑ A light layer (hoodie or windbreaker): Yes, Floripa can get windy and a little chilly at night, even in summer. It’s essential — especially if you’re not used to it!
The must-haves (the foundation of it all!)
These are the items you’ll reach for every single day, no matter the activity. Don’t leave home without them!
- ☑ Sunscreen (face and body) and lip balm: The island sun shows no mercy.
- ☑ Insect repellent: Especially for the trails and late afternoons on the beach.
- ☑ Reusable water bottle: Stay hydrated and help cut down on plastic waste.
- ☑ Sunglasses.
- ☑ Phone charger and a power bank: So you never run out of battery halfway up the trail.
- ☑ Basic first-aid kit: With your personal medication, painkillers and band-aids.
- ☑ Toiletry bag: With shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, and so on.

There you go! With this checklist, your bag for the Adventure Camp will be dialed in, light and ready for anything. The most important thing is already with you: the drive to live a one-of-a-kind experience, meet new people and connect with the incredible nature of Florianópolis.

FAQ: Common packing questions
1. Do I need to bring bed linen and a bath towel?
No need! Sea Wolf Hostel provides full bed linen. A bath towel is also included with your stay. Just bring a quick-dry towel for the beach and waterfall trips.
2. What kind of sneakers do I really need for the hike?
Ideally, sneakers with good traction to keep you from slipping. Running or gym shoes usually do the job, as long as the sole isn’t worn smooth. We don’t recommend casual sneakers with flat soles.
3. Should I bring flip-flops?
Yes, they’re essential! You’ll wear them around the hostel, on the way to the beach and during downtime. They’re a non-negotiable in any bag headed to Floripa.
