Sea Wolf runs surf camps in Florianópolis, in the south of Brazil, from its three surf hostels: a Beginner Camp at Barra da Lagoa (from R$1,490), an Intermediate Camp at Campeche (from R$1,910) and an Adventure Camp at Lagoa da Conceição (from R$990). Four days, three nights, lessons with board and wetsuit included, on Brazilian long weekends. Updated 25 September 2026.
Florianópolis is an island with more than 40 beaches, an international airport (FLN) with direct flights from São Paulo and, in season, from Buenos Aires and Santiago, and surf in every season. Sea Wolf started here as a surf school in 2018 and became a hostel in 2019 — surf is the reason the houses exist, not an add-on. Three houses, 147 beds, all in surf neighbourhoods.

Why Florianópolis for a surf camp in Brazil
- Beaches by level, minutes apart. Barra da Lagoa is the classic first-wave beach; Campeche, Joaquina and Mole hold bigger, cleaner surf. You don’t drive hours to change level.
- Surf all year. Summer (December to March) brings warm water and softer waves; autumn and winter bring the south swells that put Floripa on the map of Brazilian pro surfing.
- A city, not a beach town. Lagoa da Conceição has bars, restaurants and a bus network; flights land 40 minutes from the houses.
- A crew, not a package. Sea Wolf houses host travelers from Argentina, Europe, the US and the rest of Brazil; camps run with a host the whole weekend.
Surf camp in Brazil — frequently asked questions
Do I need surf experience to join a surf camp in Brazil?
No. The Lobitos Beginner Camp at Barra da Lagoa starts from zero: three lessons with an instructor, board and wetsuit included, on a beach that works for first waves most of the year. If you already surf on your own, the Intermediate Camp at Campeche is the one for you.
Is the board and wetsuit included?
Yes. Every surf lesson in every Sea Wolf camp includes the board, the wetsuit and the instructor. You only bring sunscreen and swimwear.
Where do I sleep during the camp?
In the Sea Wolf house that runs the camp: Barra da Lagoa (Beginner), Campeche (Intermediate) or Lagoa da Conceição (Adventure Camp). Prices start from a bed in a shared dorm; private rooms are available on request.
Can I come alone?
Most people do. Camps run in small groups (the surf camps are groups of 12) with a host the whole time, so you arrive alone and leave with a crew.
What language are the camps in?
Portuguese, English and Spanish. Florianópolis gets travelers from Argentina, Europe and the US all year, and the team is used to mixed groups.
When is the best time for a surf camp in Florianópolis?
There is surf all year. Camps run on Brazilian long weekends (October 9–12 and November 19–22, 2026) and the beginner beach at Barra da Lagoa is sheltered enough for first waves in any season. Bigger, cleaner swells arrive in autumn and winter (May to September).
How do I book?
